Portfolio
My portfolio is a record of my fascination with how we interact with information, be it mathematical, musical, or emotional. This gallery represents a multidisciplinary journey: developing spatial tools for quantum computing, composing for live orchestras, and engineering VR platforms that redefine how students learn.
While the mediums range from spatial music notation to STEM education, the core thread is consistent: building technical systems that make the complex feel intuitive, and the digital feel human.
Prisms Of Reality
Head of Product and Engineering 2022 - Present
Joined at inception to translate complex STEM pedagogy into a scalable, spatial medium. I spearheaded the evolution of Prisms from an initial pedagogical concept into a market-leading VR STEM platform used by over 1 million users across all 50 U.S. states.
I established the foundational VR UX/UI language for immersive learning and led the engineering strategy to scale our library 10x from 10 to over 100+ interactive experiences. By re-architecting the platform for high-scale data integrity and real-time analytics, I drove the technical maturity and operational velocity required to secure a successful Series-B funding round and enable international expansion.
Skybinder
Lead Engineer & Co-Producer | Maku XR | 2021
I spearheaded the end-to-end production of Skybinder, transitioning a technical prototype into a premium, award-winning VR title on the Meta Quest and Steam stores.
As a producer and sole engineer, I created the core "Satisfying Line" engine, a custom predictive gesture system designed for tactile, low-latency spatial interaction and architected the complex 3D geometry logic powering the game's mechanics. Under my technical leadership, the project achieved a near-perfect 4.9-star rating and reached 5,000+ active users, earning critical acclaim from UploadVR and VRScout for its "instantly intuitive" design and masterful game feel.
MIT’s Qubit Arcade
Lead Engineer & Product Designer | MIT Research Laboratory of Electronics 2020 - 2022
At the MIT Research Laboratory of Electronics, I led the end-to-end design and engineering of a multiplayer VR platform that demystifies quantum circuit design.
I translated abstract mathematical concepts such as superposition and the Bloch Sphere into a tactile, spatial interaction language, allowing users to "program" quantum gates through a novel musical-score-inspired UI. Beyond the frontend, I engineered a low-latency networking architecture for real-time collaboration and developed the technical pipeline that executes VR-generated commands on actual MIT quantum hardware. This project successfully bridged the gap between complex theoretical physics and physical intuition for MIT students.
Locus: Spatial Music Notation
Lead Designer & Researcher | Independent Project 2019
I pioneered a spatial notation system that allows composers to notate sound localization as a core musical parameter, much like pitch or rhythm.
I led the theoretical research and design of the Locus symbol, optimizing it for ease-of handwriting and spatial expression while ensuring maximum legibility for performers. I managed the symbol design and full technical implementation, creating a functional font asset for all major digital notation solutions. The system was officially adopted into SMuFL (Standard Music Font Layout), making it the global industry standard and the only dedicated symbol for music spatialization used by publishers and software developers worldwide.
I Want To Say Sorry
Co-Product Designer | Maku XR | 2021
I co-designed and developed a research-backed web tool that translates the psychological frameworks of Brené Brown and Harriet Lerner into a structured digital experience for crafting sincere apologies.
I designed a rigorous, multi-step workflow that guides users through stripping away defensiveness and "fauxpologies," focusing instead on objective "camera-lens" reporting and actionable commitments to change. This project demonstrates my ability to apply behavioral science to UX, creating a high-integrity editorial process that prioritizes user accountability and emotional healing over ego.
Simple Theremin
Creator & Lead Engineer | Independent Project | 2019
As an early developer leveraging mobile VR hand-tracking, I engineered a high-fidelity Theremin (musical instrument) simulation that translates 3D spatial gestures into frequency (pitch) and amplitude modulation.
I developed a low-latency "spatial-to-audio" mapping system to mimic the electromagnetic fields of a physical Theremin, overcoming early-stage tracking stability challenges to ensure a fluid, expressive performance. The project achieved viral success on Meta’s App Lab and SideQuest, amassing 50,000+ downloads and maintaining a top-tier rating for its "zero-learning-curve" UX and technical accuracy.
As Lead Composer and Conductor for the BSFO, I spearheaded a "genre-bending" production that bridged 20th-century cinema with contemporary live performance.
I developed a complex rhythmic and meter framework to enable live singers to perform synchronized dialogue alongside a full orchestral score. Beyond the composition, I led a premier orchestral ensemble through a sold-out regional tour of New England’s historical theaters, managing the high-tension technical challenge of frame-accurate, live-to-picture conducting. The production received critical acclaim from The Boston Globe and The Boston Musical Intelligencer for its transformative and "passionate" approach to film preservation.
The Passion of Joan of Arc: Silent Film Opera
Composer & Conductor | Live Orchestral Performance (BSFO) | 2019
Tonos: Generative Music Therapy
Lead Engineer & Co-Producer | Maku XR | 2020
I spearheaded the technical synthesis of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and generative audio to create Tonos, a music-based therapy app for iOS and Android.
As Lead Engineer, I architected and deployed an interactive generative music application designed for emotional regulation and music therapy (iOS and Android). To prioritize the meditative experience, I co-designed an "eyes-free" interaction system utilizing simple vertical gestures for sequential modulation of music parameters. I developed a high-fidelity audio engine that translates real-time user input into 1,000+ unique musical tracks, focusing on harmonic density and rhythmic stability. This project successfully translated abstract "mood repair" research into a tangible wellness tool, allowing users to archive and track their emotional evolution through personalized musical experiences.
Painting Life: An Immersive Documentary
Lead Engineer & Music Composer | Maku XR | 2018
As my inaugural venture into VR, I served as Lead Engineer and Composer for "Painting Life," an immersive documentary that places viewers directly inside the surrealist canvases of artist Emma Webster.
I engineered the 3D environmental design and composed an evolving spatial musical score that utilizes dynamic leitmotifs to mirror the artist’s transition from observational sketching to full-scale abstraction. By designing a specialized UX for passive immersion, I successfully translated a traditional documentary format into a high-fidelity spatial experience, creating a significant archival record of a now-internationally acclaimed artist’s creative process.
